PANINA ħanina

At PANINA, we believe food should nourish more than just hunger - it should also feed community, kindness, and connection. PANINA HANINA is our way of giving back, through small acts of support that add up to a bigger difference.

We don’t see these as grand gestures, but as everyday ways of living our values. Through local initiatives, collaborations, and acts of kindness, we aim to share not just fresh food, but hope, care, and connection across Malta and Gozo.

  • Sharing a Meal with Puttinu Cares Families

We believe that food has the power to bring comfort, even in the most difficult moments. Recently, through PANINA ĦANINA, we had the opportunity to support Puttinu Cares by preparing and delivering free lunches to families staying at the Rainbow Ward.

For us, this was a simple gesture - a meal shared with love - but we know how much it can mean to families who are facing challenges and spending long days at the hospital.

We are deeply grateful to Puttinu Cares for the tireless work they do to support patients and families in need. Being able to contribute, even in a small way, reminds us why community is at the heart of everything we do.

Here’s to more kindness, more care, and more reasons to come together around good food.

  • A Small Gesture for AAA Dog Sanctuary

Sometimes, the smallest ideas can make the biggest difference. Recently, while working with us at PANINA Żebbuġ, a collaborator asked if their payment could instead be donated to the AAA Dog Sanctuary in Birżebbuġa, which is lovingly managed by Rosalind Agius and her team of helpers.

We were more than happy to make this happen, and the donation was passed on right away.

This isn’t about us, but about shining a light on the daily needs of animal sanctuaries across Malta. They do so much, often with very limited resources, and every little bit helps — whether it’s a small donation, some pet food, or simply spreading awareness.

We’re grateful we could play a small part in supporting this cause, and we encourage anyone who can to lend a hand to the sanctuaries that care for so many abandoned animals on our island.

  • Fueling Young Minds at the Malta School Games 2024–2025 Chess Finals

At PANINA, we believe the minds of tomorrow deserve all the support we can give today. That’s why we were proud to sponsor the Malta School Games 2024–2025 Chess Finals, organised by the Maltese Olympic Committee and the Malta Chess Federation.

From an incredible 51 participating schools, the top six teams advanced to the grand finals, showcasing not just strategy and skill, but also teamwork, discipline, and focus. To keep their energy high, we were thrilled to provide each finalist with one of our freshly made ftajjar during their break — a small gesture of fuel for their big moment.

A huge congratulations goes to De La Salle College’s Kings Army, who claimed 1st place , followed by St. Margaret Cospicua Middle School in 2nd , and St. Martin’s College in 3rd . But most importantly, a big well done to all the finalists who made it to this stage — your achievement is inspiring!

For us, this sponsorship was about more than food. It was about supporting youth, education, and sport — the foundations of a stronger community. We’re proud that PANINA could play even a small role in celebrating the talent and potential of Malta’s young chess players.

Here’s to more moves, more moments, and more minds making a difference.

  • Local Supporting Local at Rapunzel: A Tangled Panto

There’s something special about supporting local talent, and we were delighted to play a small part in bringing a little extra energy to the stage during FM Theatre’s unforgettable production of Rapunzel: A Tangled Panto at the Manoel Theatre.

By keeping the cast fuelled with PANINA, we hoped to add a touch of support behind the scenes — so they could bring even more magic to their performances, songs, and heartwarming moments on stage.

For us, this was about more than food. It was about celebrating creativity, community, and the joy of coming together to share stories, laughter, and kindness.

Here’s to more theatre, more local talent, and more opportunities to support one another.

AĦĦĦ, KEMM HU TAJJEB!
